Our Pro Staff Team: We have made some changes to our prostaff team, with new team members and added occupations, for more go to our Pro Staff Page. Be sure to visit, post a picture or ask the prostaff a question at our new facebook page.

We try not to make life personal here (at our website) but we are only human, we have received word that a devoted fellow hunter/fisherman has passed.
As life continues to make full circle we feel extremely heavy hearted that a devoted outdoors man, and friend will no longer see or experience the joy and experience of the morning mist lifting from the meadow as the sun rises above the distant mountain.  Goodbye friend you will be missed.

Roy WallisRoy Wallis (owner of Chimo Guns in Wasilla, AK)
Our prayers
Long time Valley resident Roy Dean Wallis, 65, died January 27, 2012 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wallis was born in Ontario, Oregon on December 5, 1946 to Grace and Lester Collins.

Roy loved the great outdoors of Alaska. His passions included hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.

A friend summed it up well, when they said, "He was larger than life." His family will dearly miss his love, guidance, strength, and wisdom. His grandchildren were his crown jewels, and he was the pride of his two children. His legacy will live on for many years to come.

Memorial services in honor of Roy will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 2nd at First Baptist Church of Wasilla.

ATA 2011 - 20+ MUST-HAVE GEAR ITEMS
Over the 12 months, there has been a lot of creative engineering going on in the archery industry and I worked hard to find the best of it. Here's a look at soom cream off the top...

Caribou Gear "The Carnivore" If you missed my raving last year about the game bags Caribou Gear makes, jump on their website and get a closer look. This year they came out with a combo pack that is tailored-made for the backcountry hunter, The Carnivore.  It is a four-pack of game bags, each one capable of loading a boned-out deer or collectively a boned-out elk.  They've also added Game Bags Spray to their lineup.  It is a powdered food-grade citrus acid that you mix with water in the supplied 2 oz. bottle and spray down your meat or game bag.  It fights bacteria and keeps flies at bay, all while adding almost no weight to your pack. by South Cox      Get your copy at WWW.EASTMANS.COM/
