Ted Sr.
President and CEO of Caribou Gear, a dedicated fisherman and hunter with over 38 years of 100% self-guided hunting, and proud owner of many respectable trophies along with a few Boone and Crockett record book harvests. As then and now he gives a great deal of credit and thanks to his wife and four kids for they too had sacrificed for their husband and father’s dedication and insatiable drive to hunt and fish.
In the early 60’s he was gathering night crawlers off the lawn the night before his solo journey to a lake miles away carrying only a bag of tackle, a bucket of worms and a pole, he would ride his bike through the busy streets to a lake miles distant and spend the day fishing for catfish and blue gill from sunrise to sunset. He looked forward to the family fishing excursions deep into the Colorado Mountains fishing for trout in the cold rivers and lakes. His hunting experience goes back further yet to the days he would wander the
neighborhood fields in pursuit of ants to feed his horned toad, catch frogs and tadpoles or climb trees and mimic whistles of the sparrows that lived there, this was at the young age of 4–5, a little nut you say a fanatic we say for he knew not what he was doing, he was learning the way of a hunter.
It wasn’t until the 70’s that his parents purchased a fiber glass long bow and arrows that he set out to hunt birds and squirrels with great success he didn’t know that this should be hard or difficult for again he knew not what he was doing. It wasn’t until he was married that he and his wife both experienced hunting with a rifle, living in the heart of the Colorado Mountains hunting elk, deer, grouse and usually anything else in season. He and his wife would set out on self-guided hunts, driving until the road gave way to 4x4's then setting out with their packs and gear for a ten day hunt.
As the years past raising their three daughters. it eventually pulled his wife from the ranks of having the time to hunt so reluctantly she stayed behind to care for the kids, back then hunting was a necessity and way of life, for it placed food on the table for the harsh Colorado Rocky Mountain winters. In the years that passed he has harvested a great many deer, elk, and has fished many lakes, rivers, and oceans from the Southern Rockies to Alaska.

“ misdirected society seem to forget what has brought us this far in our existence, to survive as the most dominate species on this planet. Hunting and foraging is what man does, then and now, the primal drive is and always will be a part of mankind. It is us the few of today that enjoy coexisting with nature in its purest form in all its raw beauty. There’s nothing like the serene feeling of overlooking a morning meadow, with the golden sun rising over the top of a mountain, the morning dew glistening on everything it has touched like diamonds filled with abundant colors and fog blanketing the meadow in a mysterious haze, I have lived to experience this and the opportunity to pursue many once in a lifetime hunts, from the Southern Rockies to Alaska. It is my passion to give back and share this enjoyment with my children and their children and to teach others what they too are missing. We as hunters and fisherman/woman outdoor enthusiasts we must be a driving force behind a continuing cycle for as long as mankind lives on this planet." I encourage you to support clubs and organizations that protect our wildlife, and our brave military forces for the freedom and the right to bear arms. TR

Clint Boyce- Minnesota
Growing up in the Northwood's of Minnesota hunting and fishing since I was able to walk behind my fathers foot steps. In the 70's hunting for food was more of a necessity.
between what we harvested or raised on a one acre garden we always seemed to have what we needed.
I learned to hunt from my father, mother, grandfather, and uncles, hunting the Smokey hills Wilderness area, the Crow Wing Wilderness area and the Boundary Waters Wilderness for whitetail deer, black bear, grouse, pheasant, ducks, and geese. Minnesota being the land
of 10,000 lakes it seems as though I tried to fish them all!
I fished for muskie, northern pike, tiger muskie, Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, crappie, sunfish, perch, bullhead, catfish, trout and the ever tasty walleye in the many lakes and rivers of Minnesota. Hunting Elk and Mule deer in an area on the Oregon Idaho border, North East of Halfway with my uncle, I knew then I would again hunt the Western extremes and the Rocky Mountains. In 1995 after I served was discharged from the military I came back to Minnesota and hunted a few seasons when a couple of friends called me and asked if I wanted to hunt Elk in Colorado, we hunted the Grand Mesa outside of Grand Junction, Co. I have hunted in Colorado ever since.
Over the years I have harvested elk, mule deer, antelope, pheasant, coyote, and grouse, I have also become a better trout fisherman and learned to fly fish. I'm a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Gun owners of America, Union Sportsman's Alliance, the TRCP and the Save the Hunter organization. The thrill of the hunt, the catch, and harvest has been instilled in me from the start. I believe it to be a spiritual part of my life being one with the great outdoors. I looking forward to the hunting and fishing adventures yet to come. Occupation: Linesmen

winning photographer of big game and nature; as an extension of bow hunting he hones his skills in the back country by closing in on his subjects for incredibly close shots.
One of Alan's favorite elk hunts was in Colorado, on a D.I.Y hunt on public lands he harvested a 373 6/8 bull elk that ranks as one of the top ten elk harvested in the state of Colorado. Other bow harvests include a Colorado Shiras bull Moose, mule deer, and Merriam turkey. Alan has also fished the fiords of the Alaska inside passage, cranking in King Salmon; and hard core wilderness fishing of many of the Colorado high country lakes and ponds.
Alan is a volunteer with the Colorado Division of Wildlife as a Huntmaster, the primary goal is to introduce youth to hunting big game in the state of Colorado. Teaching youth how to be a safe and ethical hunter, and passing on skills learned from over 40 years of hunting experience.
"having a bull elk bugle back to you at less than 30 yards is priceless. being able to keep your composure and taking a shot at 10 yards is un-explainable, being close to nature is what I live for, I hope you can join me"

Mark Brunello - California
Joins our Caribou Gear Prostaff with over 27 years of hunting and fishing experience. Mark’s passion is hunting mule deer, but he enjoys hunting any big game species that he
can draw a tag for as well as waterfowl and upland bird hunting. To say Mark is obsessed with hunting would be an understatement. Each year he applies for multiple big game species in 11 western states. When he is not hunting, he is talking with wildlife biologists, game wardens, taxidermists, and fellow hunters about hunting opportunities prior
to his upcoming hunts each year.
This is just part of the countless hours that he spends researching areas to hunt mature, trophy class big game animals. The majority of Mark’s hunts are self guided, back pack hunts on public land draw tags. He prefers to hike in a few miles where he finds quality animals and few people. Mark enjoys the challenge of pursuing the older age class animals and hunts very hard from dark to dark to makes the most out of every hunting trip that he goes on. As a result, he has harvested many mature animals including a couple mule deer over 30”.
Mark lives in Rocklin, CA with his beautiful wife, Jenna, and their three daughters. His family is his first priority and he cherishes every minute that spends with them. As much as Mark enjoys his out of state hunting trips, one of the hardest things is being away from his family for extended periods of time. His wife and kids are extremely supportive and motivate him to hunt hard and harvest quality animals. They also love the outdoors and enjoy eating the wild game meat that he brings home.
Over many years of hunting, and by necessity, Mark has sought out the best quality hunting gear to make him a more effective hunter. After several hundred days in the field, Mark knows which products work, and what doesn’t. You will only find the best quality gear in his pack, and that is why he uses Caribou Gear ultra light big game bags. Occupation: Communications Sales

Erik & Jacquelyn Youngberg - Wyoming
Hunting is a Family Affair
Hunting is a way of life for our family, Wyoming born and raised, we live by and off nature's bounty harvesting what we need from Wyoming abundant wildlife. As a hunting family we continue to live and raise our children to make nature and hunting a way of life. Both Erik and I learning how to hunt at a very early age from our families have a personal undeterred love, dedication for the sport.
We believe that if the dad hunts, then dad hunts, but if mom hunts the family hunts! Knowing what the rights and wrong of life and hunting, we raise 2 children, a 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy teaching them the joys of the sport, educating the next generation of hunters to be ethical and responsible for their harvested game, as not all live for just the sport we live by the bounty of the harvest.
We treasure the time spent outdoors with our family looking forward to other hunting opportunities.
Many of our hunts require remote pack-in, carrying only what we need is important for a successful hunt, getting the most of our hunted harvest is important to our family, this is why we like the Caribou Gear line of products, carrying only what you need is very important for a successful hunt, but proper field care means more meat on the table. A product that shows the public we as "hunters" care about what happens after the kill.
We at Caribou Gear greatly promote and encourage sports to be a way of life whether its hunting, 3D shoots or as in Jacquelyn case running in 5k & 10k races, Jacquelyn is also a proud State certified volleyball official and involved in her town planning & zoning committee.
As a husband and wife hunting team Erik and Jacquelyn have harvested a number of game with a rifle, but in 2010 Jacquelyn harvested her first animal with a bow, a 5 point bull elk, Jacquelyn's hunting partner Erik was able to call a bull into close range allowing Jacquelyn the opportunity for a heart stopping, adrenalin driven shot of success. Erik's most memorable hunt was in 2008 when he was with his father, brother, and close friend on a Wyoming D. I. Y. elk hunt. He was able to take a bull in the 320 class with his bow, which his father was able to capture on video.

Tom Rados - Pennsylvania
Tom Rados, has reveled in the benefits of the outdoor lifestyle for twenty years. Tom spent his formative years as a hunter and fisherman under the watchful eye of his late Grandfather, John Rados Sr. Saturated with a vast expanse of knowledge from his grandfather and a few other wizardly mentors, Tom was able to approach his hunting and fishing adventures with elevated levels of morality and appreciation. Throughout his hunting/fishing career, Tom has marveled at the sense of fulfillment gained through the netting of an evasive fish or the harvest of a big game animal. "Tears are exploding from my eyes and I'm attempting to swallow every heartbeat while I embrace my best Columbian Black-tailed buck. I recall looking upward to regard the elegance of the sky and saying aloud, ' This dude is for you, Pap! '"
My hunting and fishing equipment is functional and I take that seriously. I feel an obligation to share knowledge of quality outdoor products with consumers who enjoy the outdoors in ways in which I do. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy sharing experiences and the knowledge I have been fortunate to gain by many mentors over the years I hunt every chance I get! I began this passion on Maryland's eastern shore hunting waterfowl with my yellow Labrador retriever, Gauge.
elk, mule deer and antelope, with one turkey subspecies away from my Grand Slam.
I grew up in Northern New Jersey, as a kid I tried to catch anything that walked, crawled, or flew. Carp Fishing was my absolute favorite. I spent hundreds of hours on the river bank, growing more independent with each passing boyhood year.

mule deer buck at age 16, and his first bull elk at 19, Kurt has harvested 15 big game animals with a rifle, and now a full heart and soul archery hunter with numerous animals taken with his bow including deer, elk, hogs, turkeys, and this year a bighorn sheep.
a competitive archer, Kurt currently holds State Target and 3D titles, as well as 2 State Records.
Paul Atkins is an outdoor writer from Kotzebue, Alaska. He was born and raised on a farm in Northeastern Oklahoma before moving to Alaska in the spring of 1999. Through his father’s guidance, Paul began hunting at an early age, taking his first whitetail when he was 9. From there it was non-stop. After earning degrees from both Oklahoma State and the University Of Alaska, Paul took a job teaching in the mid-west. During this time Paul buried himself in bow hunting and competition archery and traveled the country doing both. It was at this time he began to write. He published his first article on Whitetails in the fall of 1993.
Wanting more, Paul decided to move to Alaska to pursue the big game animals of the far north and expand on his adventures in writing. Paul has taken all, but one-specie in Alaska and most in North America. He currently needs 8 animals to complete the North American Super Slam. Paul also travels abroad to hunt; including Africa as one of his favorite places to pursue dangerous game, with a bow.
Paul’s work can be seen in “BowHunter”, “BowHunting World”, “Bow and
Arrow Magazine”, “Peterson’s”, “Outdoor Life”, “Trophy Hunter”, “Eastman’s” and the “African Hunting Gazette”, just to name a few. He also serves as one of the contributing editors for the new “Hunt Alaska” magazine. He also plans to publish his first book next year.
Paul is also a strong supporter of Hunter Education and a life member of both the Boone and Crockett and Safari Club International.
Paul currently teaches for the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Chukchi Campus and is the President of “Archers of the Arctic”, the area archery organization. Currently he is excited about the next chapter in his hunting adventures, which is exposing his son (Eli), and the next generation, to the love of hunting.

Ron LeBeaumont - Wyoming
Ronald Le Beaumont, M.D. is a full time physician in Wyoming. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and did subspecialty training in anesthesiology at the University of Arizona. Along with full time private practice, he serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Wyoming family practice residency.
His knowledge of medicine has made him realize the importance of fitness for hunting. He has been an advocate of weight training for many years having begun lifting while involved in martial arts in his youth. Now at the masters level, he has been an active member of USA Powerlfting/American Drug Free Powerlfting for a number of years. In 2008, he won the USA Powerlifting National Championship Ironman competition (deadlift and bench press) in his age and weight class. He continues to actively train and compete in at least one or two contests a year.
Dr. Le Beaumont has hunted in Alaska, Alberta, Arizona, California, Montana, New Mexico Utah and Wyoming. He is an avid bowhunter but also enjoys hunting with his rifle. Animals taken include Alaskan moose, black bear, javelina, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, Rocky Mountain elk, Shiras moose, and whitetail deer. He has made numerous fishing trips to Alaska for salmon and halibut. Although he has trophies listed in Boone and Crockett, Pope and Young and Safari Club International; meat remains at the center of why he hunts.
As a physician he recognizes the health benefits of eating wild game: high in protein, low in saturated fat and with a favorable ratio of heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids. As a strength athlete he feels that a diet rich in protein from wild meat enhances muscle repair.
His favorite breakfast is a plain antelope or elk burger simply cooked in a cast iron skillet. However, he and his wife Dominique are accomplished wild game gourmets and have had many elaborate recipes published.
Much of his time is spent with his three children who are active in competitive soccer and swimming. Despite limited time his oldest son, age 14, has taken Rocky Mountain elk, pronghorn antelope and wild turkey. He recognizes the tradition of hunter conservationists and the need for quality hunting products. Ron is a member of the Boone and Crockett Club, Bowhunters of Wyoming., National Rifle Association, Pope and Young Club and Safari Club International. Occupation: Medical Doctor
